MVP's of the NFL have had an eerily hard time over the last 2 decades when their teams have made it to the Super Bowl ........ 9 consecutive times, their teams have lost the big game.

The last regular season MVP whose team made it to the Super Bowl AND WON THE GAME was Kurt Warner, and the 1999 St. Louis Rams.




2001 MVP: ll Kurt Warner (The Rams lost to the Patriots in the Super Bowl)


2002 MVP: ll Rich Gannon (The Raiders lost to the Buccaneers in the Super Bowl)


2005 MVP:lll Shaun Alexander (The Seahawks lost to the Steelers in the Super Bowl)


2007 MVP:lll Tom Brady (The Patriots lost to the Giants in the Super Bowl)


2009 MVP: ll Peyton Manning (The Colts lost to the Saints in the Super Bowl)


2013 MVP: ll Peyton Manning (The Broncos lost to the Seahawks in the Super Bowl)


2015 MVP: ll Cam Newton (The Panthers lost to the Broncos in the Super Bowl)


2016 MVP: ll Matt Ryan (The Falcons lost to the Patriots in the Super Bowl)
