Default Ryan Kelly signing with the Minnesota Vikings - 2 years, $18M

Looks like Tanor Bortolini is the Colts starter at C next season.

The Vikings are expected to sign four-time Pro Bowl Colts standout C Ryan Kelly, per me and Tom Pelissero. A key veteran addition.

He gets a 2-year, $18M deal.

Good player and seems like a good dude but he’s not the player he once was.

And Bortolini sure seems like he’s up for the task of replacing him. Let’s hope he doesn’t morph into Samson Satele.

Also, the Vikings already have a good center under contract for next season. Garrett Bradbury was a 1st round pick and has started a lot of games for them.

Seems like an odd signing for both sides unless they’re releasing Bradbury, which wouldn’t really make sense either because he makes less than Kelly.

Maybe they’re planning on one of them switching positions.

Or Pinter or Wesley French.

The greaseball who initially drafted Kelly now works in the Vikings front office.

Don't know if I would call Bradbury a "good" center.

The Vikings could try to trade Bradbury for a Day 3 draft pick or cut him or keep him around as Ryan Kelly injury insurance.

I've always thought that Kelly would be a great guard.

The Colts gave Kelly some reps at RG at training camp the year Glow signed with the Giants.

For a while, they were interchanging Pinter and Kelly at the Center and Right Guard positions.

And maybe the Vikings might just bring everyone into training camp and try out different combinations and see what looks best on the practice field.

Looks like Bradbury's Vikings days are numbered:

The Vikings plan to release C Garrett Bradbury if they can’t trade him, sources tell me and Ian Rapoport.

The team signed veteran Ryan Kelly to replace Bradbury, a first-round pick in 2019 who started 88 games in Minnesota. He turns 30 in June and now is headed elsewhere.
