It wasn’t the right call because we didn’t convert.

One of those misses was because Cambell blocked the kick. He was coming close all night. That’s on the line, not Blankenship. Blankenship missed a extra point but also made a 30 yarder. That last kick he missed was too far for him. They spent the last play running to center the ball when instead they should have been trying to pick up 10-15 more yards to get closer. They had a timeout left.

They could probably get into the playoffs by going 8-4 the rest of the way, with the division that they play in ..... especially if they beat the Titans in the rematch, and take care of business against the Texans and the Jaguars.

But I'm a "one-game-at-a-time" fan ...... all I care about is the Colts beating the Texans next week to improve to 2-4, and then I'll concern myself and my emotions with the next game when the next game comes.

They had a timeout left, but there was only 6 seconds left to play ...... they may not have had time to run a play to gain 10-15 more yards without the clock running out. They would have been cutting it very close if they took that route, that's for sure.

Only seen Manning do it a hundred times. Called a quick slant. You don’t catch clock stops. You catch and go down, everyone calls timeout.

And pics circulating on Twitter of Maniac knocking the ball out at the goaline again at the end before Jackson’s knee was down. I’m done for tonight. Fuck this game.

Maybe, but unlike college football, the play is not over when you go down in the field of play until you are touched. If the Colts receiver caught a quick slant and immediately went down, the Ravens may have been smart enough to not touch him.

If anything, I think that perhaps they could have run a timing route on the sidelines with Wentz immediately throwing a looping ball as soon as he got the snap from center and hoping that the wide receiver could haul it in before stepping out of bounds.

You can’t do that and a player can call themselves down and call a timeout.

An out route takes longer and then you also risk interception bc they know you want to get out of bounds.

Really ??? I thought that the quarterback was the only player on the field that could "give himself up" and call himself down in the field of play without being touched by a defender. I guess the rules have changed if they now state that any player can go down in the field of play without being touched, and simply call themselves down.

Anyone can. It’s to prevent that exact situation.
