He's damn close though. He makes all of the other receiver's jobs easier, since he is such a good deep threat. Can't blame Hilton for JB or Rivers. When Luck was around, Hilton was a damn great deep threat playmaker. Like Racehorse said, I hope he retires a Colt.

Hilton has produced many a first down, continuing a drive down the field. I loved being at the game and hearing on the PA, TY Hilton for ANOTHER Indianapolis first down! |

Not a great year to be a FA.

Pundits are pundits and you don't need to be a sportswriter to publish a top 100 list online.
That said, of the three or four lists of top free agents that I've perused, TY has not been near the top on any of them. To me, that speaks to fan/writer opinions of him outside of our Indy bubble, and doesn't really say much about how the other 31 GM's think of him. But it also makes me think that we Colts fans overvalue him. I think he'll be back with something along the lines of a three-year, $25 million contract, front-loaded, with a team option on the third year. Last edited by TheMugwump; 02-14-2021 at 07:26 PM. |

I would love to have him back, and if he isn’t getting #1 receiver money I would love it. I just think we need a true #1 receiver, there are several candidates available in free agency and I would like us to spend what it takes to get one. Then if we can afford Hilton, do it.

I doubt it but I would love him to come back. I think it depends on what TY wants to do. I don’t see a great opportunity for him on another teams so who knows

I agree. I should clarify that when I say we Colts fans overvalue him, I mean we overvalue what other teams may be willing to pay him. Not for what he brings to the Colts practice field and locker room in terms of leadership.
Other GMs may or may not be looking for that, or valuing that, in the way Reich, Ballard, and we do. |
