There is something wrong with you if you actually believe that superstitious beliefs/actions actually have an effect on what does or does not happen in a sporting event.

So if superstitious beliefs/actions are a cute little game that people like to play to pass the time, fine. When somebody actually gets annoyed with me (or anyone else for that matter) over some twisted notion that there is a correlation between something that I said and what actually happens in life, that's where I draw the line and remind said person that they are out of touch with reality.

I'm not superstitious, just stitious.

Agree, the laces were irrelevant. He shanked it, it was a bad miss.

It sucks, vinatieri is the elephant in the room that cost us being a 7 and 1 team.

No other kicker in the league would still be starting.

eh, it could be argued that Robbie Gould is having a slightly worse season and he is still starting. Gould is only 13 of 20 on field goals for a 65% make rate. With today's game added into the stats, Vinny is at a 71% make rate. One difference is that the 49'ers as a team are rolling right now. Kicking is an after thought for now.

Both players are struggling compared to their past performance - even just comparing their stats to their 2018 numbers.

No other kicker has his resume though. If there is a better option I'm all for it. But we are not the only team with kicker woes. Reliable clutch kickers are pretty hard to find.

Because last week it worked.

AV should probably retire after this year.

My ideal: we pick 1 of the guys we've been trying out, AV, being the team player and heads-up guy he is, bows out and mentors the new kid, the kid flourishes under AV's wing, AV saves face and helps the team, retires at the end of the year first ballot hof.
Pipe dream maybe.

I just grabbed Adam Vinatieri as was he headed to the bus ...... He said, “You’ll here from me tomorrow.” I told him that we don’t see him tomorrow. And he said, “Yeah, you will.”

I wonder what he is thinking ??? l
