"After trade talks sounded red-hot in early February, things cooled off last week and all sides "took a deep breath" to re-asses where talks stood."
They need a new editor.

Yeah he was trying to fleece everyone else. But honestly, what else could he have done? Stafford just went for two firsts. If he didn’t try to get something similar they would have vilified him in Philly. Only now after trying will the fans say just take what you can get.

Breer still thinks the Bears are the front runners:

https://nypost.com/2021/02/16/bears-...jor-roadblock/

Quote:
“I think Chicago is the front-runner … and I do know there’s a feeling inside that building from [general manager] Ryan Pace, from the coaching staff, Matt Nagy, John DeFilippo … they believe, mechanically, they can fix him,” Breer said on Colin Cowherd’s podcast
Quote:
“I think the issue right now is where Carson Wentz wants to go,” Breer said. “I think it’s become pretty clear he’d rather go to Indianapolis, and I think part of it now, for the Eagles, is, ‘Alright, if our best return now is Chicago over Indy, then we need to convince Carson Wentz, this is the only place you’re going, bud, and you need to buck up and accept this, and realize the Bears are going to give you a good chance.’ I think it’s pretty clear at this point that the Bears have pushed harder than the Colts to get Carson Wentz.”

The problem is that everybody knows everyone else in the NFL. If Wentz cant take hard coaching, he wont fit into the Colts concept of team success. Handing him big money early was a mistake, and the Colts need to stay away from Wentz

I think the chance Wentz works out isn’t very good but for him this is far and away his best opportunity. Stable situation without the pressure of if you don’t succeed heads will roll. I’m not sold on any of theses guys to be honest. They all have issues or they wouldn’t be available. Wentz seems as good as any

I tend to agree. I'm completely off the Wentz train. Still wouldn't mind making a run at Darnold.
