Yeah, depending on the severity and recovery timetable for Jelani Wood's partially torn hamstring, the Colts may place him on IR tomorrow. He would have to miss a minimum of 4 games if he hits the IR list. If he is close to returning, the Colts may try to work around his injury. |

Rush is a big surprise. I'm also surprised that we kept Hambright over Skipper as well as 10 DL and 6 LBs. Guessing Stuard, McCrone, and Olubi showed better at STs than Rush or any of the WRs did.
As already discussed I wouldn't be surprised if Woods is put on the IR tomorrow to make room for our first waiver claim. |

Agreed. You have to start producing at some point. Even if it's just on STs. Entering his 3rd year Strachan should be showing something on the field, but since he's not it's probably best to move on.

They were talking about this on the JMV show and man I think it warrants even more call out.
This motherfucker Ballard has had 7 years to build this WR room and here we are- we have 4, 4 fucking WR's on our 53 man roster and we have to be very honest- there is not a WR1 among them! It is appalling that this guy continues to head up this team's personnel decisions. He flat out sucks! |

i have to say
for all the money and draft picks we have had available, this is a very underwhelming team. where is the talent? what position group is great? what is this teams strength? i don't see it anywhere |

Zero leadership (maybe Buckner). Zero team identity. I'm hoping Steichen can establish something. Nobody else can/has.

Obviously it is very early in their careers to be making comparisons since sometimes it takes WR's a little longer to develop, but if you look at Pierce's production from his rookie year vs the next 10 WR's drafted, it appears the Colts made a decent choice. Pierce: 16 games, 41 rec, 593 yds, 2 TDs Moore: 16 games, 22 rec, 250 yds, 0 TDs Jones, Jr: 12 games, 7 rec, 107 yds, 1 TD Tolbert: 8 games, 2 rec, 12 yds, 0 TDs Bell: 16 games, 24 rec, 214 yds, 0 TDs Gray: 13 games, 1 rec, 10 yds, 0 TDs Ezukanma: 1 game, 1 rec, 3 yds, 0 TDs Doubs: 13 games, 42 rec, 425 yds, 3 TDs Austin: 0 games, 0 rec, 0 yds, 0 TDs Shakir: 14 games, 10 rec, 161 yds, 1 TD Washington: 15 games, 4 rec, 2 yds, 0 TDs Last edited by AlwaysSunnyinIndy; 08-30-2023 at 10:29 AM. |
