These are not the power rankings, which are made by sportswriters. This is the power index, which is strictly computerized, sans human intervention.

In fact, the Colts are actually rated higher in the human polls (3rd) than they are in the computerized poll (4th.)

The computer has the Chiefs at #1 in the NFL with a 6-6 record, and the Patriots at #14 with an 11-2 record ...... and if those 2 teams played right now I would go with Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, regardless of whether the game were played in Missouri or Massachusetts.

The Texans are up 4 spots, from #15 to #11.

The Chargers are down 9 spots, from #12 to #21.

The computer has the Colts dropping a whopping 16 spots ...... from #5 to #21.

The Texans moved up 2 spots, from #11 to #9.

The Jaguars moves up 3 spots, from #15 to #12.

The Steelers, who beat the Ravens on their homefield in Baltimore to take over sole possession of 1st place in the AFC North, are 8 spots behind them (the Ravens are #10, and the Steelers are #18.)

The 2 biggest discrepancies between the computerized polls and the human polls are the Chiefs and the Ravens.

In the computerized polls, the Chiefs are #1. In the human polls, the Chiefs are #12.

In the computerized polls, the Ravens are #7. In the human polls, the Ravens are #17.

In the AFC, there's a new team atop each division than what we're used to and what was expected. Let's hope the Colts can maintain.
