Some one said, Edge could fall out of bed and get 5 yards

He always leaned forward, and always got positive yards. There was an old Polian quote after his injury where he said something along the lines of "Edge would turn a 2 yard gain into a 10 yard gain, problem is he would also turn a 30 yard gain into a 10 yard gain." Thought that was a brutal but honest comment.

That quote sounds more like Faulk than Edge. You sure about it?

So is Irsay straight up putting the kibosh on JT's extension with that tweet? Are we about to have a full offseason holdout from JT?

I don't think that the Irsay + JT's agent tweets have caused irreparable harm - a deal could still get done between JT and the Colts.

I would be more concerned about JT's involvement with the "RB Coalition" - if the league's RBs draft up a set of hard lines about certain contract parameters. There needs to be some leeway and flexibility from both the player and the team in order to sign an extension within the current CBA. I think an extension can be done by using the contract numbers of the franchise tags as a guide - although the negotiations will certainly be like trying to thread a needle.

As I stated before, I think the Colts should prioritize an extension with MPJ first, however.

I doubt it. He was talking about the ones complaining about being tagged, and holding Zoom meetings to gain sympathy from others. JT is a favorite of Irsay's.

Yeah, I don't think we're anywhere near the point of bad blood or anything. That wasn't my point. If any shot was taken, it was against the agents which may or may not include JT's.

But it does seem like Irsay giving public notice that the market is the market and the franchise tag is an element of a CB that's already been fought over... so he's not going to fight over it anymore. How I read it anyway.

SO…….

Taylor needs to get his butt into camp and show he could be a big part of the passing game. Marcus Allen was a great RB, who was a game changer catching the ball. Be a game changer

To me, that is the solution. RBs who can change the game with home run capability in the run AND the passing game are much more valuable than a guy who just carries the ball, but no catching and no blocking (hyperbole, I know) JT seems like the kind of guy who can figure out how to add those two elements to his game.

Considering they had Wayne and Harrison he was probably an outlet reciever. Not having that bell cow Wr, Taylor could help the passing game.
