This is what it’s coming to. Then some victims receiver will get his leg broken or knee torn and there will be another rule change.

Probably not. Most of those plays are on shorter crossing routes, not bombs down the sideline which is where they want the flags so the ball advances rapidly for increased scoring. In fact, Roger is probably pissed every time a team throws a shallow cross, especially if caught, more seconds off the clock, lower scoring game. Thus if dudes get blown up knees, good, less likelihood teams will try those passes.
