My problem with Levis is that he sounds like he thinks he's already a finished product. If that is the case, then Levis issues can't be fixed.

If the Colts draft Levis and he proves humble enough to be coached tough and improve everything about his game, then I'm on board.

Obviously Stroud and Young are the most finished products right now and I think they will be good in the NFL.

I have expressed my preference in Stroud, because he is the safest pick. But that doesn't make me right though, because I haven't talked to these players and figure out who really gets what it takes to become great.
The thing you have to realize about Dam (and most of us do) is that whatever he sees or thinks he sees on this film that he watches is in his mind exactly how it's going to play out in the NFL. No one will ever improve or pan out if he thinks they're going to be a bust, and if they do turn out to be a good player it's b/c of the talent around them or that they somehow get lucky every week for an entire season(s). On the other hand if any player who he thinks is going to be good but ends up being a bust then it's entirely the player's team and coaches' fault.

I think you can sell the fan base on Hooker, so you can go Anderson at 4 or trade back. What Ballard can’t do is continue to punt at QB until a great low risk option drops in his hands.

There is not a generational talent in this QB class, and even you know that.
Levis is a mechanical mess. If he's also uncoachable, he's a bust waiting to happen.

As for your other statement, I don't trust the general consensus on QB evaluations. I think Stroud and possibly Young have the potential to be top 5 QBs in the NFL.

If the Colts are at 4 with Stroud, Young, and another player off the board, but Will Anderson on the board, I think it makes sense to draft him. He's got an incredibly high floor and ceiling.

Past performance is the best indicator of future results. That's not to say a player can't improve, but why would you bake improvement into their evaluation? You can't guarantee it. Learning a new skillset at a higher level of competition is an incredibly difficult thing to do. Projection is done to determine a player's ceiling. There's a floor, too. Anthony Richardson as is fails out of the league in 2 years. Will Levis as is fails out of the league in 2 years. Bryce Young as is is likely a top 25 starter in the NFL. CJ Stroud as is is likely a top 20 starter in the NFL.

Has Carter's legal troubles gone away again? I thought he was in deep shit.

Hopefully Irsay wouldn't fire Reich simply because the fanbase was clamoring. Hopefully he had football reasons. And hopefully the same would apply to Ballard.
The ignorant mob wouldn’t be a factor if Ballard had results. He simply doesn’t. No I don’t want his decisions to be made based on fan pressure, that doesn’t change the fact I believe it’s where we are. I don’t think he should have moved to 1 and I don’t think he has to pick a QB at 4. But if he leaves the 2nd without a QB I think the writing is on the wall for him. He’d be better off taking one and missing than going down without ever taking a swing.

And I think fan sentiment played a huge role in Irsay’s decision on Reich. I didn’t say it was the only one though. Same will apply to Ballard. His on field results are enough to justify the decision (I’m not calling for it), but fan sentiment will likely be the deciding factor for Irsay.

WTF are Young and Stroud top 5 QB's in the NFL or top 20 to 25 QB's. You have really contradicted yourself here.

He's saying with no improvement, those guys rank in the 20's. But with natural improvement he expects them to be top QB's in the league.

I can’t get on board with a 26 year old rookie

At RB I’d agree. At QB I see no issue.

If he’s the right guy, there IS no issue.
