Marcus Howard Impressive

Sad part is, Howard almost looks big for an Indy DT. Yikes.

He consistently collapsed the pocket from his side, which you certainly like to see. Also had some tremendous speed getting upfield to help out teammates and get some hits in. Showed great tenacity in finishing the play, something I thought a lot of the younger DL players lacked.

I think we got us a good one and I could see him possibly being better than Robert Mathis eventually. He sure showed a lot of speed on the field. What do you think?

Yes he looked very good but I think tempered enthusiasm is on order here. 1) He was primarily facing 2nd level talent on the Skins' o-line and 2) the eventually better than Mathis comment is about 3 years premature to know.

But like Hart, his first impression was a very good one. I was at camp last Thursday night and his speed was very noticeable there too. But again, I am trying to not get too excited just yet.

I'm thinking this is possible but hoping its not. Go to a bar where there are tons of ugly girls. A 6 looks like a 10, and a 3 looks like a 6. Hopefully Howard is actually this good, and not just good by comparison to the short bus team we put out there with him.
