Default Have we become Germanys Team?

Are we the Germans favorite NFL team? With Bjoern Werner singing our praises, and having 2 other German born players in the last 3 years on the Colts roster, as well as playing and winning there twice in the last 3 years, it seems like we have built a stronghold in Germany.

I'm sure the play of Raimann also has something to do with that.

Raimann wasn't born in Germany. Rather he was born and raised in neighboring Austria.

He speaks German because it is the official language of Austria.

Yes, I know that . But, because he speaks German the German fans can relate to him.

I was editing my earlier answer but you replied before I finished so I will just post a new reply.

To answer your original question, I don't know if the Colts are Germany's favorite team...but they probably are Top 5.

Yes, I agree that being associated with German-speaking Werner and Raimann probably help a lot.

I would expect there to be a fair number of Detroit Lions fans, too, due to All Pro WR Amon-Ra St. Brown who is a dual US-German citizen.

And there are a few other NFL clubs who partner with some of the professional soccer clubs in Germany...so their NFL logo will be very visible and recognizable by those soccer club fans. Some partnership examples: Pittsburgh Steelers and Borussia Dortmund, Carolina Panthers and Eintracht Frankfurt, and Detroit Lions and Cologne.

According to Tom Matte, the Baltimore Colts were America's team before the Dallas Cowboys were.

After the Colts beat the Giants in overtime in the 1958 world championship game, the Colts were America's team from 1959 through 1970. After the Cowboys beat the Dolphins in the 1971 season Super Bowl, they were then declared to be America's team.

Bjoern Werner. Ughh. Talk about a waste of a draft pick. Did he ever even get a sack?

I just looked it up, looks like he had a grand total of 4.5 sacks in his Colts career.

Again, ughh.
