eh, back up and special teams. not terrible but nothing special as well.

Yeah, but spending $2.5m on a backup player for soecial teams could easily br filled by someone making less than $1m per year.

At $2.5m, they are banking they get some pass rush out of him, IMO.

It's a gamble. The Colts have a bit of cap room to gamble at this point. Sure, it's unlikely to pay off, but if it does...

I think its 2M + 500k in incentives. if he replaces a backup/ST player making 1M, then its a 1M gamble he provides more than that. If he hits his targets (assuming they are worthy targets) then we got something for our 2.5M. If he doesnt then we "lost" 1M.

Continue to hear the Falcons linked to Chiefs DT Dontari Poe. Very good chance he does 1yr deal to relaunch as a UFA next March
