Youngblood broke his leg late in the 4th quarter of a 1979 divisional playoff game against the Cowboys. That tackle that Youngblood made may have saved the game for the Rams (I remember watching it on TV when I was in 9th grade.) Youngblood then played 2 games on that broken leg (the NFC Championship game and the Super Bowl.)

Lest we forget Gino Marchetti breaking his ankle (is that worse than a leg?) on a 3rd and 1 in the '58 championship game. Now Gino didn't continue to play, but he refused to leave the sidelines for treatment.
