We do, but my post (and my concern) is strictly in regard to the playoffs. ...... that's why I agree with the Power Index's ranking of the 5-4 Chiefs as the #1 team in the NFL.

I'm not especially concerned with the regular-season games right now, even the one with the Chiefs. My only concern about the regular season right now would be for the Colts to avoid taking a nosedive, and finishing at 10-7 or 9-8 ...... as long as the Colts finish the regular season at least 11-6 or better, they should win the AFC South division and be set up fairly well for the post-season.

So, if the Colts can avoid playing the Chiefs at least until the AFC Championship game (if at all), that would be beneficial in my eyes.

I agree. We always seem to have their number during the regular season, winning the 2 games that included PM as their qb but lost the 2019 playoffs with him.

And strangely enough, that 2018 Colts team that had Andrew Luck at quarterback had a better chance at beating Mahomes' Chiefs than either of the 2019 or 2022 teams did. The 2019 Colts had Jacoby Brissett at quarterback, and the 2022 team had the worst Colts offensive line in recent memory ...... flukes happen in the regular season all the time, but when push comes to shove in the post-season, Patrick Mahomes' Chiefs have been the cream of the crop. They have made if to the AFC Championship game for 7 straight seasons, from 2018 through 2024 ...... in the history of professional football (1920 through the Present) only Otto Graham's Cleveland Browns had a superior run. Graham's Browns made it to the League/World Championship game for 10 straight seasons from 1946 through 1955, winning 7 out of those 10 title games.
