Well, Jack Youngblood is undebatably the toughest NFL player ever. He played 3 NFL playoff games with a broken leg.

He actually broke his leg late in the 4th quarter of the divisional playoff game against the Cowboys. It was a key tackle that helped preserve the Rams' 19-14 upset win. He then played the NFC Championship game and the Super Bowl on that broken leg.

I remember all of that happening, when I was in 9th grade.
