On Twitter Bae’s fans are pissed, but maybe it’s just the normal toxic dribble.

No way it’s Smith. Reich likes young up and coming coaches that will leave for head coaching etc. Rowe is supposed to be brilliant. He is my guess, young not heavily experienced but huge upside. Plus he is from within, which I think Frank values.

I don’t think Flus did a bad job with what he had to work with. Mainly a non existent pass rush. With even an average pass rush, I think the defense would have been top 10.

He’s clearly highly regarded around the league.

I just hope this isn’t a case of be careful what you wish for.

Yep. That's my fear.

I really think you guys should investigate Wink Martindale.

All the coaches that have been mentions run the exact same D as Flus.

Cover 3..... Only real difference is the 3rd/4th down scheme.

Wink blitzes A LOT!

Obviously need some players to accomplish this. So with no matter who it is. Expect Ballard to do a lot to bring in more D talent. And that means less for the offense. Just sayin. be careful what you wish for

Here is a real good site to see what all teams play. It is from 2020. But the idea is still there

According to PFT, the Colts finished in the top 10 in run defense and takeaways all 4 years he was here. They were the only defense to finish in the top 10 in scoring, run defense, and takeaways in each of the last 2 seasons.

Flus is a good coach and I’m not sure his replacement will actually be an upgrade. We can only hope, I guess.

It’s not like they could have kept him from leaving either, or that they would have even wanted to.

3rd and 4th down (or at least 3rd/4th and long) is where we really need improvement.

Eberflus may wind up taking much of this year's defensive staff with him to Chicago.

The Bears are targeting Colts safeties coach Alan Williams as their defensive coordinator, per sources. Interview process still ongoing. But Williams — the onetime Vikings DC — is a logical fit to follow Matt Eberflus from Indianapolis.

As far as I’m concerned I could give a fuck less what Frank wants, him calling for his long lost son at QB is the reason we’re in the situation we’re in. So having an experienced coach at D coordinator might also help Frank as a head coach. We need an experienced coach and Lovie is from the Dungy tree
