Good point, but it's still too early to tell. The Chiefs may still wind up going 12-5 or better, as most expect them to. If the 2018 Colts could start out at 1-5 and finish at 10-6, the 2021 Chiefs are definitely capable of turning around their shaky start.

Of the Dolphins' 5 first-half possessions, they have 4 Punts and 1 Field Goal on a very short field after a turnover deep in Colts territory.

Capable? Sure. I equate teams like that to the Packers. You are always going to be a decent to good team bc of your QB. And you are only a good draft or two to competing for a superbowl.

If Mahomes is as great as he appears to be, I see a very real possibility of them extending themsleves to the rare, long-term franchise successes that the 49ers had under Joe Montana and Steve Young, the Colts had under Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck, and the Patriots had under Tom Brady (and even Matt Cassel for one season, when they went 11-5 without Brady in 2011.)

It's still too early to tell, as Mahomes is only in his 4th year as a starter ...... but if I had to bet a nickel or a dime, I would bet on them.
