I am now hoping we keep Stachan, Dulin and Patmon. I would like us to cut Erhlinger instead of taking the chance that one of those guys would clear waiver (I am almost certain they wouldn't). I feel fairly certain Erhlinger would clear waivers and even if he didn't it would not be a huge loss. If we are counting on him to win, we would be in big trouble. The other three either will help us this year and/or have much greater upsides.

Yeah, it will be interesting to see if the Colts keep 2 or 3 QB's on the final roster.

Prior to Wentz's foot issue, the answer was probably 2 QB's.

When Wentz was out, the answer had to be 3 QB's.

Now I am not sure - need to see how Wentz's foot responds over the next week to back-to-back practices and ramping up his workload.

I thought you could bring up players from your practice squad on game day because of the increase in games this year. We get like 57 (?) active players so if you wanted Ehrlinger active (now sure why you would want that) he could be.

Last year the Colts carried 3 QB's the entire season. They wanted to protect Eason and not expose him to the waiver wire. It would be the same question here - do you want to protect Ehlinger or expose him to the waiver wire and hope he makes it to the practice squad. I think chances are low that any team makes a waiver claim (the chances might be near zero if Ehlinger throws another INT or two during the next preseason game).

Teams will need to reach 53 players on the final cutdown day. Yes, the COVID-related roster rules have been extended this year and teams can elevate up to 2 practice squad players to the active game day roster resulting in a total of 55 players.

I think Strachan has the 5th spot earned

Dulin is likely 6th due to his ST play.

Patmon is likely the odd man out. I give it 50/50 that he clears waivers. They protected him all last year bc they like him.

I feel the same way about Strachan and Dulin. Patmon has shown quite a bit as a possession receiver, coupled with the fact that they didn't want him on waivers last year bad enough to keep him on the 53 all year makes me wonder if the Colts are now willing to give him up. I can make an argument for any of these three. I don't get the argument to keep Ehrlinger. I actually don't see one.

I think they keep 7 WR.

No doubt no doubt. I may be looking with my heart, because I like all those guys.

Plus they better stash Vaughns on the PS.
