Ballard is building the team. Relax freaks. Back ups have issues, otherwise they would not be back ups.

Apparently we'll be taking a step back this coming season. QB has been addressed (hopefully), but nothing else has. We've lost more than we've gained, and dime store guys and drafted rookies won't be enough to fill out the roster at a winning level. First time I've been disappointed with Ballard and company. I'm not angry, just whatever.

You can build your core through the draft and supplement with FA. If you look at the four remaining teams in the playoffs. They all got their passrush through FA. It’s hard to find pass rushers in the draft. No shame in paying for them in FA. But from the moves so far, it looks like we are going to be forced to go LT and passrush with our top two picks. LT I can understand, we need a rookie contract on the line. But depending on a rookie for passrush is not going to improve the teams pass rush in the short term.
Still, we have some more FA to go and moves can still be made. Just will be disappointing if we go into another season and the position is still a weakness. |

Theoretically, sitting out free agency to this degree means we get to keep more of our own really good players. IE, if we sign Thuney this year, we may not be able to afford Smith next year. |
