I do NOT like Hurts at all and pretty sure Ballard and Reich don’t either. According to stampede blue Ballard and Reich both said the kid has talent but is inaccurate. Then went on to say “there’s a lot of things you can teach a young QB, accuracy is not one of them”

I will day that I am NOT one who wants Rivers here. However, if we end up with him, I will be hoping that he is enough to get us a couple of trips to the SB.

Pretty much my feeling. Would be great if it were just a one year deal. I will settle down but I just don’t like Rivers. I suppose I’ll deal with it.

Any QB who can get us a couple of trips to the SB is more than I could even hope. That's HOF type stuff.

We really taking these next two years and trying to get a SB? Buckner move. Two years for Costanza. Two year deal to Rivers? I'm not sold this is a window we can fit through. Especially with the 49ers, Chiefs and Ravens looking like beasts. I'm more of a build it through the draft guy and supplement through free agency and this is the opposite. I'm looking forward to the production that these guys bring but it just feels like we will be just good enough to miss the SB and have a garbage draft position. Like always. But screw it. Frankenstein this bitch together with free agents and take a run at it. I will say we need a QB developing during this time though.

All that being said the next two years should be entertaining. Not just for the Colts but league wide. With so much craziness all around I can't wait for Sept.

Also, Fuck Andrew Luck.

Ok so I promise to finally start posting here again. I admit I got caught up on the Facebook groups out of convenience but thank you Tapatalk lol. So obviously after the trade yesterday that takes us completely out of the Herbert and Love situation. I’m probably one of the few who are ok with riding Jacoby one more season and seeing what he can do with help and health. Now I’m wondering if Ballard might take a WR at 34 and a guy like Eason at 44 or vice versa. He’s an immobile gunslinger but so is Rivers. If we sign Rivers I will be PISSED. If you had to guess, what’s Ballard’s next move? Seriously, he reminds me of Polian but with balls.

No thank you to Jacoby. I have seen enough. He has been here three years and started two seasons. I think that is enough time to see what he is like. The last half of the season was awful.

The Indianapolis Colts are finalizing a deal with Philip Rivers to be their next quarterback, per CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora. Indianapolis has been linked to Rivers for some time and the 38-year old quarterback has found his new home.

Rivers would be reunited with Colts offensive coordinator Nick Sirianni, who spent five seasons as an offensive assistant with the Los Angeles Chargers, who Rivers played for from 2004 to 2019. Colts coach Frank Reich was the offensive coordinator for two seasons with the Chargers, spending three total years with Rivers in San Diego.

Reich was the Chargers' quarterbacks coach in 2013, when Rivers led the NFL by completing 69.5% of his passes, the highest completion percentage of his career. Along with throwing for 4,478 yards and 32 touchdowns that season, Rivers also took care of the football, throwing just 11 interceptions while earning Pro Bowl honors.

Rivers will join a Colts team that faded down the stretch last season, going 2-7 in their last nine games. The past five games were particularly bad for the Colts defense, as they gave up 30-plus points in four of the last five games, allowing 29.4 points per game during the stretch.

Part of the Colts struggles were also on Jacoby Brissett, who started 15 games, going 7-8 in his starts while completing 60.2% of his passes for 2,942 yards, 18 touchdowns and six interceptions for an 88.0 passer rating. Brissett didn't throw a touchdown pass nor for over 200 yards in his last three games played, finishing with a passer rating lower than 70 on all three occurrences.

Brissett's struggles forced the Colts to look elsewhere for their starting quarterback, especially after Andrew Luck's stunning retirement last August and with he Colts missing the playoffs in four of the past five seasons.

In his final season with the Chargers, Rivers completed 66% of his passes for 4,615 yards with 23 touchdowns and he played all 16 games for the 14th consecutive season. While Rivers finished fourth in the NFL in passing yards, he finished third in the NFL with 20 interceptions and had an 88.5 passer rating. His touchdown percentage of 3.9 was his lowest since becoming the Chargers starting quarterback in 2006 and his adjusted net yards gained per pass attempt (7.1) was his lowest since 2012.

Rivers is currently sixth all-time with 59,271 passing yards and sixth in touchdowns (397). His 224 consecutive regular season starts are the second-most all time.

I'm not a fan of Rivers. But I can watch him in a Colts uniform. Brady, absolutely F*CKING NOT

I don’t think he was saying it’s the highest priority. I think he was all but saying Hurts isn’t accurate.

I believe he said accuracy and toughness is what he wanted. I think Burrow is a sure thing. Too bad he is going to the bengals where they embrace mediocrity.
