There was nothing particularly noteworthy about the Chiefs' 1991 Divisional playoff loss to the Bills in Buffalo by a score of 37-14, or their 2015 Divisional playoff loss to the Patriots in Foxborough by a score of 27-20.

The Chiefs were heavy underdogs to the Bills in 1991, and they lost accordingly (37-14.)

The Chiefs were moderate underdogs to the Patriots in 2015, and they lost accordingly (the score was 27-13 in favor of the Patriots late in the 4th quarter before the Chiefs added a touchdown with only 1:13 remaining to close the gap to 27-20.)
