Don't be stupid. You know the numbers for RB's that come back anywhere near their former selves in that first year is incredibly small. The overwhelming odds say he won't be very good this next season, so why sign him and waste a spot?

The Colts don't need him to be a starting caliber RB. They need him to be a quality backup who can give 10-15 touches and 15-25 snaps per game of quality production. In that role, he could produce decent numbers.
