Which isn't too surprising 1) given how decimated the position has been via injury this year and 2) at this point, the Colts have probably already looked at most of the street free agent options out there so they need to see if anyone is available via trade.
Jets, Dolphins, Saints and Titans are 4 teams that should already realize their playoff hopes for this year are over. These would be the teams that might want to jettison future free agents for draft capital.

Now, there's talk of the Lombardi and hoping Ballard shores up the one or two defensive weaknesses, getting a DE and a CB by surrendering future draft choices and paying enormous sums of money to these unhappy studs.

I hope Ballard can make something happen, we do need to upgrade the pass rush, but at what cost?
I had a Titans fan tell me he was amazed at how much Richardson was holding the offense back for the past couple of years. I think that’s part of it but I think drafting Warren is also a big part of it.

As for a trade, it’s a shame AR is hurt. We could trade his worthless ass.

Not the same door, IMO. Once Lamar returns, the Ravens could run off a massive win streak.

Not the same EXACT door, but similar ...... that's why I said that they were knocking at that door, and not specifically at it.

The Ravens were losing to the Chiefs by a score of 37-13 with Lamar playing before he got hurt, and looked awful on both sides of the ball. They are 1-5, and Jackson still isn't practicing.

On the other hand, their schedule is very weak. A huge part of Jackson's game is his mobility, and if his hamstring hampers him even a little when he comes back the team could be in deep trouble.

The Colts have started the clock on Jaylon Jones' 21 day practice window.

So they will have up to 3 weeks to ramp him back up in practice and get him game ready.

They will have to activate him from IR within that time frame or else he will end up on season-ending IR.

And guess what ??? Ballard has done just that. He has built a complete team that is not overly-dependent on an all-world quarterback. He's having the last laugh, as the 6-1 Colts are finally making his plan/dream come to fruition ...... so based on Ballard's patience and his behavior up until now, I would highly doubt that he would start mortgaging the future to enhance the Colts' chances of making it to the Super Bowl for the first time since 2009 for this solitary 2025 season ...... he built the complete team that he said that he would, and I don't think that he wants to start taking rash risks that could potentially cost the Colts in 2028 and beyond.

I was wrong about that ...... Ballard bought, and Ballard bought big-time.
