1) Keep the Commanders out of the end-zone on a 35-yard field.

2) Even if they got into the end zone, the Colts still may have had some time to get into field goal range on offense.

As it is, they probably only have one chance to win the game ...... if the Commanders score, the Colts probably won't have much (if any) time at all to come back with a field goal themselves.

That's a pretty good point, except that we didn't know that he was going to back them up with that outstanding punt when they made the decision not to go for it.
