2nd year player, UDFA in 2017 and on TEN practice squad. He has been active and playing in all 13 games for us this season (so, really a rookie in playing time).

36 targets, 22 receptions, 61.1% catch rate, 215 yards, 9.8 ypc, 2 TD.

I typically like to see WRs over 65% catch rate but he has not been horrible in that department. 9.8 ypc is nice to see.

The only proven WR for 2019 is Hilton; everything else is unproven. The only guys that I would like to see on the roster next season from our current roster are:

T.Y. Hilton, 29 years old for 2019

Dontrelle Inman, 30 years old for 2019

Zach Pascal, 24 years old for 2019

Deon Cain, 23 years old for 2019

Reece Fountain, 23 years old for 2019

Interesting quote from his NFL.com draft profile on Fountain:
Quote:
One-year wonder with the requisite height, weight, and speed numbers to interest teams looking for a plus athlete to develop. While Fountain should test well, his route running and ball skills aren't where they need to be and the jump in competition will make that transition challenging.
So, two veterans and three developmental kids.

I would still like to add at least two more bodies prior to training camp; one veteran and one draftee.

Pascal, Cain and Fountain are all potential and until they prove that they have arrived, that is all they are. Chester Rogers has been given EVERY opportunity to shine as a prospect and he has failed. Ryan Grant? Get off my team!

Hopefully, coaching can develop those three young men (and a rookie) into a pass catching group that can complement T.Y. and the TEs better than in 2018.

Walk Worthy,
