$6.5 million for one year for Melvin. I don't understand why you don't make that deal. You better be bringing in someone good to replace him if you can't pay that money for one of the few bright spots on the D last year.

you don't make the deal because it takes two to make a deal. It's been reported that Melvin and his agent Would Not Accept a one year deal from the Colts. They were asking for a multi year deal with $ that were "much high" than 6.5. This is why Ballard said test the market. Market said you aren't the CB1 you think you are so instead of coming back and negotiating a multi year deal with the Colts he says I have confidence in myself....I will prove the market wrong. And here we are. You can't make a deal with someone who doesn't want to deal. It sucks but it's the business reality.
