Which tends to support the idea that there isn’t anything structurally wrong and that he just needs to throw in order to get through this period of soreness. The same thing happens with athletes after ACL recovery. The knee won’t feel quite right, but playing is the last step of the rehab to get through lingering scar tissue and rebuild confidence in the knee.
