One time when I went down to Baltimore to watch the Orioles play the Red Sox, one of their fans actually started chanting "1983 !!!" in reference to the last time that the Orioles won the World Series ...... while conveniently ignoring the fact that his team went 86 years without winning a World Series.
There's a really good movie from 1976 called,
"Massacre at Central High" ...... it's about when bullied kids get defended by a good Samaritan, and then they become bullies themselves with their new sense of empowerment.
