I get that you’d have liked to get a player at a greater impact position, and there were two outstanding Quarterbacks…Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson…sitting in the green room when we picked 6th. But, we already had Andrew Luck. We could have added Bradley Chubb, but Chubb has only put together 2 10 plus sack seasons in 8 years. At LT, we were set with Anthony Castonzo. Could have used a Corner, but it wasn’t exactly a stellar year for the position. When we picked, the best Corner on the board was Jaire Alexander. If you’d wanted a WR, Calvin Ridley was out there. I suppose that, on some far away corner of football universe, you’d rather have him than Q, but…

Some times, you play the hand you’re dealt. 2018 was a great draft, especially if you factor in the 3 pro bowl Quarterbacks taken. 17 pro bowlers were taken in the 1st round. But, it was heavy on non edge type Linebackers, Safeties, Nose Tackles and interior Offensive Linemen. After the Colts picked, the best edge rusher taken has totaled 25 sacks in 8 years.

Personally, there was only 1 player drafted after Q who I’d rather have, and that was the guy we got in the 2nd round.
