Crazy. Hoping this decision has more to do w/ how Rivers performed in practice, but realistically speaking it probably has more to do w/ Leonard and Rypien. Not a good look for them to have someone who hasn't taken a snap in 5 years and only has 3 days of practice w/ the team leapfrog you both w/out any problem. Even if he is a probable HOFer.

What's he getting paid for these 4 games? Has that info came out yet? $12 million or thereabouts? I'd hope so for him and his health/time.
If Google is correct and I understand it correctly since he's a PS call up he's only going to be making the prorated amount of the league minimum for a vet, which is ~$75K/game. For any week that he's not activated from the PS he'll make $17.5K-$22K that week, which is the range for a PS player w/ >2 years of service time.

So re-upping the health insurance for another 5 years w/ all of the kids that he has makes more sense from a financial incentive standpoint.
