There are some obvious errors in that article, so it is hard to take it seriously. First, it said a 51 yard TD was negated by the fumble, but it was 41 yards. Second, Ballard never said he would never have a QB like Luck, but said he would not have a team that was dependent on a QB who could carry the team with a Superman cape, like Luck did for three seasons. Third, he stated that the Colts have not beaten a playoff caliber team, but last I checked, Pittsburgh was in the running for a home playoff game. I won't even address his spelling of "favour".

As for Mitchell, he seemed defensive to me, with false bravado. That is not a good look, but he is a rookie, who needs to accept blame for a play that he blew (he clearly didn't handle the ball well after he caught it, which led to the DB having just enough time to sniff out the actual play). He is immature, and tried to come off as confident, and able to do what was asked, which made it look to me as if he were blaming his coach for calling a bad play, but he executed it (and our playoff hopes, in the process). I would say "get him off my team", if he were not a rookie, who might develop and mature in time.

The article does indeed have 3 major errors, especially the one about Ballard. On numerous occasions, I have pointed out that Ballard was intent on building a roster that was not overly-dependent on a superstar QB.

That's why I specifically only included the highlighted portion, and not the rest of it ...... the difference between the 2020 offensive line that Philip Rivers played behind was the antitheses of the offensive line that Matt Ryan (and later in the season, Nick Foles) played behind in 2022. Seeing Nick Foles convulsing on the ground while the Giants' linebacker celebrated the sack by bird-flapping right next to him encapsulated the 2022 Colts' offensive line's entire season.
