That's great news. I'm honestly surprised. Peppers was going to be a guarantee... so having two players at the same position makes it tougher. On top of that, I truly thought people would go by the numbers and put Jared Allen in before him.

It's nice to know the voters actually watched football and remember the week-to-week impact... or at least Chappell did a good job of reminding everyone (he's usually good at putting these HOF guys in perspective for others).

True, but people say his teammate, Patrick Mannely, was the best long-snapper in NFL history. Special teams might need their own category like the executives.

Wayne vs. Johnson is a legitimate contest and I have no issue with anyone that gives the edge to Johnson.

Hester is getting in 90% due to '06 and '07. Probably the other 10% is due to a lesser resurgence in '10 and '11. So we're already talking about a returner vs. a wide receiver in terms of football impact... and on top of that, we're only really talking about 4 seasons.

Hester should be competing against Josh Cribbs in the ST category. Not eating up a space that should go to Wayne.
