The Tony Brown situation is a bit of a conundrum. Tony Brown is not a good football player and should never take the field. Every time Tony Brown takes the field the colts chance of winning drops precipitously. Every time Tony Brown takes the field the coaches send the message that bad play has no consequences and if you are a backup you will never be more than a backup. Is this acceptable?Well that depends on what's most important to you. One might conclude that the playoffs are a pipe dream and team morale is an acceptable casualty in the pursuit of a higher draft pick by tanking. Letting Tony Brown play is an excellent step towards tanking. On the other hand if you are an adherent of the losing breeds losing philosophy and that bad play should never be rewarded under any circumstances you don't hesitate to shitcan Tony Brown by benching him if not cutting him. I'm so damn frustrated with this team right now that I can't decide what is the best approach. I'd love to know how Irsay and Co. feel about the situation. At least I don't have to wait for more than 7 days to find out.
