Our otherwise excellent place-kicker missed a makeable 47-yard field goal attempt in the 2nd quarter.

Our head coach eschewed another 3 points when he went for it on 4th down instead of trying to kick a 48-yard field goal ...... the score of the game at that time was 23-8, and there were 4 minutes left to play in the 3rd quarter ...... there was still plenty of time to take the points, and cut further into the lead.

Our wide receiver dropped a ball right in his hands in the final minute of the 4th quarter ...... instead of a 1st down and already being in long-field goal range, we had to punt and play for overtime.


It's a team game ...... good teams win and lose as a team, and they don't point fingers after the fact ...... they keep on playing, and they try to overcome whatever mistakes that they collectively made on (and off of) the field.

Actually I just meant that last play mix up...but that was a good rant!
