Doyle wants to make a comparison to the team with the best QB and arguably best TE in the league. Yes, the Chiefs don’t need a superstar running back, they have stars at other positions that compensate. But what if you don’t have a superstar at QB? What if you have a rookie? What if you have a Tanninghill? Do you get rid of one of your best offensive players bc “the league doesn’t want to pay running backs?” No one is afraid of the Volts passing game. Want to watch an offense without JT? Oh wait, we saw that last year. It was god fucking awful.
Edge may not have been the same after the knee injury, but he still put up 1500+ yards in 04 & 05.
