There's likely one possible scenario in the universe in which the Colts part with Manning after 13 seasons... It just so happened that the one scenario actually occurred.
Broke neck Manning with a few years left vs. dream prospect that literally checks every single box there is and that you expect to have for 15 years.
Not the same ballpark as arguably the best OL in the league in his prime being traded for a 50/50 shot at a good player.
