Perhaps, but these are the Chiefs with the best quarterback in the NFL, coming off of 3 consecutive seasons of at least reaching the AFC championship game. Super Bowl loss or not, I don't think any body expected the slow start from them. They were/are expected to be more like the Patriots, who lost the Super Bowl to the Eagles in 2017 and came back to win it in 2018.

Long-term winning streaks are really rare. What the Colts had and what the pats had just don't happen very oftenm. Most team's windows are 3-4 seasons.
