Big Q was mic'ed up vs. the Falcons

A little karaoke on the sidelines, some grunting and hitting, constantly on the move - it doesn't appear he ever gets tired....

I'll get myself a 56 jersey at some point. This guy is unreal. There was an athletic article that said he was too heavy for pee wee football so he went to the nearest high school's cross country course and became a distance runner.

We are sooo lucky to have him.

Thanks for the video. Q is a damn beast and hustles on every play. Love how he is always there to pick a teammate up. Hell of a draft pick. Nelson proved you can pick a guard that high in the draft.

From an Athletic article:

Quote:

"Ten years old, in fifth grade now, and here’s a dilemma: how much does he love the game? Because little Quenton is getting too big for youth football. He’s already up to 138 pounds – “I was a fat kid, a little chugulugga,” he says now – and the weight limit for his age group in the Holmdel Jr. Pee Wee League in central New Jersey is a hard 115."

...

"How does a 10-year-old drop 23 pounds? He becomes a distance runner. Quenton finds the nearest high school cross-country course, 3.1 miles of unforgiving hills, and he spends his summer evenings, fifth grade through eighth, lumbering across them. A slow jog with mom becomes a steadier pace with his older brother and sisters. The fat fades. His weight drops. His endurance builds. He never misses a game."
