Disappointed his careeer ended this way but this is does yield more play time for the young bucks.

Sucks, when he was healthy he was solid. Makes drafting Smith and signing Slauson look good. I suspect like many of us Ballard was concerned Mewhort could not stay healthy and was being prepared for this.

They did the right thing. They gave him a chance to see if his knees would hold up. I'm an old fart, and I've got parts that don't work as well as they used to. Having things fail at 26, ...... I don't know what to say.

Holder mentioned that he was practicing through significant pain in his knees these last few days. While a tough decision it was pretty clear.....his knees are done.

I agree, there was little harm in giving him another shot.
