Wish he could have played his entire career here.

TY last decent season was in 2020. It could've been a great season for him, but noodle arm Rivers could not get him the ball deep. Alas he just succumbed to injuries.

Ring of Honor though?

He’s the only one in the era who deserves it imo. If there are others, they are few.

It was crazy watching him own Houston like he did.

Probably so...but it depends on how exclusive the Colts want to make the Ring of Honor.

Here are the players inducted so far with their induction year. Very offense heavy so far.

QB Peyton Manning 2017
QB Jim Harbaugh 2005

WR Marvin Harrison 2011
WR Reggie Wayne 2018
WR Bill Brooks 1998

RB Edgerrin James 2012
RB Marshall Faulk 2013
RB Eric Dickerson 2013

TE Dallas Clark 2024

C Jeff Saturday 2015
OT Tarik Glenn 2022
OL Chris Hinton 2001

DE Dwight Freeney 2019
DE Robert Mathis 2021

I'm sure Ryan Kelly will be considered, too.

He matched TY as a 4-time Pro Bowl'er.

I’m all for TY but if Bob Sanders isn’t the next inductee I’ll go down and boycott outside of Lucas oil myself

Not RAWB? J/K Bob Sanders definitely deserves the honor.

Is it purely pro-bowl or All Pro accolade related? I would consider myself on the younger side within the community here but there are only 3 guys on that list I didn't see play in some capacity.

I thought the award was more emotional in nature, and feelings based. What kind of impact did the player have? Saturday was the commander or whatever, Glenn was the blind side blocker(and I remember would false start a lot, lol).

Dallas Clark didn't have a lot of accolades that I remember but there wasn't a tight end in the league like him. This was a white dude catching one handers on guys without gloves. That fucking dude was different. I have some friends who are diehard pat fans and THEY will talk about Clark.

If we'd won anything I'd be more inclined to agree about Kelly but Nelson is that guy.

There are no specific criteria or qualifications for entering the Ring of Honor although generally speaking the player should be a good representative of the Colts both on and off the field.

But it really boils down to this...if the owner(s) wants a player in the Ring of Honor...the player will be in the Ring of Honor.

As I mentioned before, many viewed Ryan Kelly as one of the better Centers during his playing days.

And he was recognized for off the field endeavors as well - being named a Finalist for the Alan Page community award.

If Jim were still alive, I am pretty sure that he would be put into the Ring of Honor because Jim was fond of him. Will his daughters feel the same? I don't know.
