Just a lighthearted (but honest) off-season post to thank my fellow 'freaks for your loyalty and longevity in supporting our favorite NFL team. In fact, we have been around for so long now that we have outlived our "freak" nomenclature.

When I look at other Colts boards/subs online nowadays, I'm usually disgusted by the amount of negativity, vitriol, and outright hatred of the ownership, office staff, players, and pretty much everything else people can think of about the team. Some of it has merit, but most of it is just gross. Most Colts "fans" these days seem happiest when the team is performing poorly and they can bitch about it online for the approval of other "fans". Just gross.

I get a kick out of the fact that many if not most of us old-timers found this place because, once upon a time, we were banned from the "normal" spaces. And now that window has been moved so far that we are, for the most part, the calm voice of reason. We're rational! Ha.

Anyway, sorry for the long post, but I just wanted to let y'all know that you are appreciated. Good luck to you and yours and thanks for all the banter over the years.

And no, I still don't consider myself an old-timer (even though I am nowadays just by default).

We are pound 4 pound the most "Based" Colt fans that exist.

I agree, although I wish some of the thin skin pussies that left, would come back. Most of them had a lot to add to this board.

As one of those thin skinned....folks....that left for a year and then came back (under a different name initially), I am glad that I came back.

I love talking Colts. I don't love being made fun of because of my religious choices on a Colts board. To each his own.

I must say this: there is really nothing normal about us freaks. Not that this is a bad thing.

Frankly, I don't know what your religious beliefs are, and didn't even know that they were being made fun of. I'm sorry for that. I guess I'm just a little bit ignorant, in that I just gloss over most things not Colts related.

I'm so ancient I don't even remember how I found this place. I think I was referred to it back in the Indy Star board days.

Same here. I was way more active on Indy Star. I like this place, but I miss the Star too.

I miss the early years of the Star board....

The later years? Not so much. So much banning....
