Last year, there was a game in which he twice put his head down and challenged defenders to fight for extra yardage on the same drive. The first time was on 3rd down, and the Colts needed the yards for the first down (which Richardson got.) The next time was on 2nd down. I was all for what he did the first time, but not the second time ...... now that he has a years' experience of professional football under his belt (some playing, mostly watching), I'm hoping that he has taken such experiences, and uses them to choose wisely ...... franchise QB's have to know their value to the team, and understand that there are times when taking the risk of fighting for a few extra yards is worth it, and there are times when it's not. o |
