He referenced his 2014 arrest for DWI, and claimed that he was being targeted for being "a rich, white billionaire."


The bad news is that his claim is absurd ...... the good news is that it happened almost a decade ago, and by all accounts Irsay has been clean ever since.

Well, there are a lot worse owners out there than Irsay. He has his faults, but who the hell doesn't.

Jim is a much better owner than his father ever was, both in Baltimore, and in Indianapolis.

That said, the Colts' move out of Maryland was much more the fault of the city of Baltimore's than it was Irsay's ...... there have been numerous bad NFL owners over the last 50 or 60 years, but Robert Irsay was the ONLY ONE of those bad owners who was threatened with having his team taken away through eminent domain. If Irsay hadn't packed up and left Baltimore that very night in March of 1984, the city of Baltimore would have taken possession of his team.

Hell yes and I personally like the silly fart! Probably old steroid use also but looks like he now wants to sue ESPN and "Drinkin A Fifth" for spinning his comments... Jeez what a sideshow.

As much as I love Irsay, that was a real dick thing for him to say ...... as a person who grew up as the son of a wealthy man, he has essentially never had to concern himself with what 98% of the rest of the American public has had to concern themselves with, and that is whether or not he's going to have a place to eat, sleep, and shower without having to worry about whether or not all of the essential bills will be paid.

Of course Irsay is an out of touch asshole. He’s never done shit in his life, was born into billions and somehow thinks he is persecuted for it. Why should I give two shits about him, other than he owns my team. He is a decent owner, wants to win and willing to spend to do it. He says stupid shit, get into spats with players and media. Could care less. It’s all white noise anyway. Just involving huge idiotic egos.
