Jacobs= signs 1 Yr $12M deal

Hey JT and associated agent. Wake the F up----- NO ONE IS GIVING OUT THE LONG TERM HIGH DOLLAR CONTRACT YOU EXPECT!

Come back here, let AR's threat get you back in the MVP conversation and go from there.

Makes you wonder what guys agreed to on that call with all the RBs and if JT is pissed that other guys (Jacobs, Barkley) aren’t damaging their options in the same way he is. I’d love to know what he and his agent’s expectations have been. Both the other two guys were already franchised before their one year deals, maybe JT and his agent are assuming the worst that happens is that they make it so painful the Colts won’t tag him next year? But then he hits the market at the same time as Jacobs and Barkley but with the reputation as a bigger malcontent. His best chance to get a big payday has always been with the Colts. And that seems harder and harder to justify at this point. I’m hoping Miami gives up the 1 at the deadline, or a 2 and a player.

I am in the camp of those who want JT to come to the realization that he has a good gig here, and will stay, bond with AR, and want to stay because of how much fun he will have next to him in the backfield.

Before he started his shit I would have agreed. But I don’t believe JT simply thinks he’s under valued. He’s too damn smart for that and the market indications are too damn clear. This is either his character or he has an ulterior motive for the way he has handled things. Either way it’s not a guy I want to commit to long term at one of the most replaceable positions in the league. I’m more than willing to take flyers on talent, but RB isn’t a position where you need to IMO.

I think it’s likely JT knows he has ankle issues and is trying to cash in now. That’s why the attitude and agent change. Why he supposedly got pissed at the team requesting he come in for a physical before camp. Why the treatment away from the team. Things weren’t healing properly and he’s trying to make sure he gets paid before they deteriorate or he lacks explosion on the field. He could be trying to make sure the Colts don’t Franchise him next year like Jacobs and Barkley. Or he could be trying to use the whole AR situation as leverage against the team. Plenty of comments nationally about how this is hurting AR.

Either way, at this point I don’t want the team to commit to him long term. I simply want them to get value for him. Either on the field honoring his current contract or with draft compensation. I don’t trust his character or his health to give him a 4 yr contract.

Nobody give running backs long contracts. I am leaning towards your thinking about this injury. We will know soon enough

Interesting how the RBs who threw a fit about being tagged and wanted long term deals have signed for $1M-$2M above what they would have gotten w/ the tag. Doesn't bode well for JT and his dipshit agent to get anywhere near the CMC money they seemingly are after.

Fuck that dude, I’m over it

RB by committee

What if JT is injured and knows that he will never be the same back he was a couple of years ago, so his plan was to try to get a long term contract and some guaranteed money from the Colts or any other team willing to take the chance....if true, that would make him a real piece of shit!

Whatever.
