Too Soon Instant Reaction

-Offensive line made the difference on offense. Give him some time and, what a shock, Matt Ryan looks like a totally different guy. Pass pro and pass offense overall was light-years better. Really exciting going forward with Tayor and Co. returning.

-Do not put Sam Ehlinger in there.

-Ryan was great. Top 2 backs out, he shouldered the load. Short passes were our extended running game and he got lots of guys involved and again showed poise at the end of a game.

-I hope I don't see much of him the rest of the season, but Deon Jackson balled out. 10 catches out of the backfield.

-Along with giving Ryan time... we finally get to see this receiving corps do some stuff. Pittman is a fucking man. Campbell, Pierce, Woods, Granson... all very key contributors.

-Defense... wtf? 243 yards rushing? Weird to watch, because most plays they bottled up. But they gave up a crazy amount of chunk plays.

-I watched JAX and Etienne last week. That dude makes you nervous.

-Lawrence was 20/22. 91%. Again, crazy completion % against us. Only 163yds which I guess is the idea, but did not anticipated getting run on like that.

-That final JAX drive was embarrassing. Penalties were annoying, but shit. 18 plays, 84 yards, 10:03, and ends in a TD. Terrible.

I'll think of more later.

Do you have Owen Gill's number?

I hope they figure out how to fix this run D before next week. Henry might go for 300 on us.

I said in the game thread. Losing Kwity Paye really hurts the run defense.

You could have made some money betting on the Colts not giving up a single sack today. Serious money.

Amazing how much difference it made not having Pryor play a position he has no business playing.

It’s really more of an indictment on the coaches than anything else. It’s mind boggling that they trotted him out there for 5 freaking games at tackle.

Take away the two ridiculously long runs, and they are closer to 130 yards. That would not be a bad day. I also think they wanted to make Lawrence less of a factor, and the run defense suffered.

Also, Fayscon EVER seing the field over Rodgers is legitimately a fireable offense.

Amazing how pig headed these coaches can be.

I know what you mean, but that's why our own Taylor is such a threat. If I remember right, he was like 3ypc all night vs. NE last season until he busted that 62-yarder and iced the game. They're devastating.

Even without 109 yards on those two runs... we still gave up 4.3ypc on 31 rushes, which isn't good.

This is a good point. He was playing well. But these long runs have to be cleaned up by the safeties. I blamed Thomas for the Hasty TD, but it might have been McLeod. Whoever it was, he followed the motion man and didn't even see Hasty until he was almost in the secondary.

Henry wouldn't even need the safety to fuck up, though. If we let him get to the second level like that, he can stiff arm his way right through just the same.

I was concerned after how easy Henry got around him a few weeks ago on that TD. Then today he we all saw the no-tackle. Rodgers is smaller, but goddamn it, he tackles.
