Irsay collection

Luckily I was able to attend lastnight… holy shit he’s got a lot of amazing stuff.

10$ worth of concessions upon entry, he had a lot of colts items on display including the actual cooler that Dungy was dunked with. Amazing how seeing a dam cooler and confetti can bring back so many memories and emotions

Then the concert which was a hell of a show as well had a dude playing Pink Floyd guitar then concluded with John Cougar doing Jack and Diane

We have the best owner in the league

Jack and Diane? More like Jack’in Duane…

In all seriousness, I wish I could have been there. Wasn’t Buddy Guy there?

Jim's daughters have decided to sell off most of the collection.

Christie's Auction house is running the sale later this week.

Some items are already open for online bids:

Of course, there are a lot of guitars and other music related paraphernalia.

There are also quite a few Soviet + KGB items for sale as well.

I think the girls are selling to re-invest everything in the Colts. Well, at least that's my hope.

I agree. Some of these signing bonuses and contract stuff require liquid cash on reserve IIRC.

ONe of the cap gurus on here can correct me if I am wrong

I'd say the bigger reason to maximize cash on hand is to prepare for paying the estate taxes from inheriting the team.

And this collection was Jim's hobby / passion project - not his daughters...and there are 3 of them. So it is a lot easier to sell most of the collection for cash and split the cash three ways instead of trying to divide up the collection equally into thirds.
