IMHO if the season isn't lost because of all the injuries, it is now.

Irsay wants more prime time games. This is how you get them.

With the preseason version, the NFL allows teams to say "No" to the circus for a few reasons:

1) if the team has a rookie head coach
2) if the team has been on Hard Knocks in the previous 10 years
3) if the team has been to the playoffs in the prior 2 years


Of course, the team could still decide to appear on Hard Knocks but they are not forced to appear if any of the above 3 conditions are met.

If we don't get our shit together this could be a disaster

Only bad/struggling teams appear on that show. So we're officially bad/struggling now? Good to know...

We are a compelling story. Maybe that is it. Or Frank is on the hot seat, and they want to document the season.
