Defensive line
 

This is a nice article on how the defensive line is coming around. The fact that Turay, Lewis and Banogu all have looked good is very encouraging. Pass rush, if we can get a decent on from our ends, is all we lacked from being elite. I find it especially significant that the article notes that Turay gave Smith all he could handle.

Only thing is, the reporters are not telling people that Banogu is only practicing vrs 2's and 3's. Not getting rep's vrs the 1's.

Now Turay has looked amazing vrs the 1's, by far the best of all our pass rushers.

Paye has had good moments vrs the 1's, but also get's stonewalled quite a bit. Still needs to get himself some counter moves.

I get that about Banogu. Thing is he didn’t do that against anyone last year. I am not a fan boy who thinks Banogu is now the answer. It’s a positive move, nothing else but shit you get little positive things before someone does big stuff. I’m more hopeful now that we may get two or three ends out of this who can rush the passer. That’s the extent of it.
